Synopsis
Can you mix a cocktail while eye-to-eye with a criminal? Find out in Best Served Cold, a murder mystery set in a bustling speakeasy where you serve customers, make friends and enemies, and solve crimes. At the Nightcap bar, prohibition is a killer… and so are some of your customers!
My Work
My main design work at RogueSide was on the game Best Served Cold. First, I benchmarked similar games and came up with lots of ideas for a murder mystery game. Once the game concept was approved by the team, I designed the systems that players would use to solve the mystery in Best Served Cold. I mainly designed and prototyped the basis for the notebook and the blackboard, as well as how clues are given to players in the game.

Design of Best Served Cold investigation systems (Clues gathering, interacting with clients, shifting their moods)
- Realization of a funding deck for prototype support (Design documents, prototype objectives, etc..)
- Making technical documentation and implementing Notebook and blackboard mechanic in Unity
- Narrative plugins benchmark
- Test and implementation of a mockup story in arcweave and pixel crusher plugins for Unity
- Implementation of a test protocol every friday to gather feedbacks and redefine new objectives
